Can you use the Reddit Pixel on a Steam page?

No. The pixel and the Conversions API only work on websites you control. For Steam, use UTM links and your Steam page analytics instead.

Which campaign objective should a Steam game use on Reddit?

Awareness and consideration. Traffic campaigns optimize for clicks without knowing their quality, and conversion campaigns need pixel data you can't collect on Steam.

Should game ads use feed or conversation placement?

Feed only for cold audiences. In our experience it brings about 50% more quality traffic and fewer accidental clicks.

How do you get Reddit ad credit?

Create your ads account through Reddit's ad credit offer, choose a program, and spend the required amount within 30 days. For example, spend $500 to get $500 in credit. You can't switch programs later, and Reddit can't extend the 30 days.

Should you turn comments on for game ads?

Yes. Comments are free feedback and they build trust. They're off by default, so tick "Allow comments" on every ad.

How much should you spend to test Reddit ads for a Steam game?

Reddit's minimum is $5 per day per ad group. In our experience, spending under about $2,000 over 3 months rarely teaches you anything useful, because you don't collect enough data.
