Reddit Ads Library: How to Find and Study Competitor Ads (2026)

The Reddit ads library is called the ads inspiration library, and it lives inside Reddit Ads Manager. It shows top-performing ads picked by Reddit's AI, not every ad from every brand like Meta's library does. To see a specific competitor's ads, you still have to look on Reddit itself. Here's how to do both.
What is the Reddit ads library?
Reddit added the ads inspiration library to Ads Manager in September 2024. It's a gallery of top-performing ads, picked by Reddit's AI. You can filter by keyword, industry, budget, ad format, placement and campaign objective. When you open an ad, Reddit lists the top three creative best practices it found in it, according to Social Media Today.
How do you find a competitor's ads on Reddit?
Browse the communities your buyers use, on mobile and desktop. Ads carry a "Promoted" label.
Open their ads and read the comments. You'll see what people like, doubt and ask.
Check the brand's Reddit profile for posts, AMAs and replies.
Search Reddit for the brand's name to see what people say about it.
Save what you find in a simple sheet: headline, image type, offer, comments on or off, and the community where you saw it.

What should you look for in competitor ads?
Headline style: problem first, maker story, question or offer. Our Reddit ad examples post sorts 15,000 headlines into patterns.
Creative type: real photos, video, memes or product shots.
Comments: are they on, and what do people ask? Unanswered questions are openings for you.
Offer: free trial, discount, demo or nothing.
Landing page: where the ad sends people, and whether it matches the ad.

Should you copy competitor ads?
No. Use them to spot patterns, then write your own. Redditors notice copied ads, and what works for a big brand may not work for you. Our best practices from more than 43,000 Reddit ads are in Reddit ads best practices.

Inside Reddit Ads Manager, so you need an ads account to use it.
How can I see what ads a competitor runs on Reddit?
Browse the communities their buyers use and look for ads with a Promoted label. Read the comments too: they show what people think of the offer.
