Reddit Interactive Ads and Reminder Ads: Countdowns, Quizzes and Launch Reminders

Reddit interactive ads let people do something inside the ad, like take a quiz, play a game or watch a countdown. Reminder Ads let people tap Remind Me and get a notification when your launch goes live. Reminder Ads are open to all advertisers. Interactive ads still go through Reddit's sales team, with self-serve expected next. Here's what each does.

What are Reddit interactive ads?
Reddit announced interactive ads in November 2025. They come as templates, like countdown timers, quizzes, reveals and trivia, or as custom builds on Reddit's Developer Platform. Paramount made an escape game to promote The Running Man, and EA ran a shared community challenge for Battlefield. For now it's a limited test: you ask Reddit's sales team for access.
What are Reddit Reminder Ads?
A Remind Me button on an image or video ad. Tapping it sets a reminder.
Reddit sends two notifications: 24 hours before the event and when it goes live.
You can add a link to the second notification, like your store page.
Reminder Ads opened to all advertisers on April 13, 2026 for awareness and traffic campaigns. Pick Remind Me as the call to action in Ads Manager.
Do they work?
Reddit says Reminder Ads got a 21% higher click-through rate than standard image ads in traffic campaigns. Reddit hasn't shared results for interactive ads yet.
What's coming for Reddit interactive ads?
Self-serve interactive ads, built in Ads Manager without a sales rep, are expected in testing around Q4 2026–Q1 2027, with wider access in 2027. Timing can shift.
When should you use them?
Use Reminder Ads for anything with a date: a game launch, a product drop, a sale or a live event. We'd start them 1–2 weeks before.
Use interactive ads for awareness, when you want people to spend time with your brand.
Pair either with a normal campaign, so people who engaged see you again on launch day.
