Reddit Ads Manager Updates: Campaign Planner, Optimization Score and an AI Assistant

Reddit Ads Manager got a big update in October 2026: a campaign planner that forecasts results before you spend, and an optimization score for every campaign. Next come easier copying and drafts, wider access to Reddit Insights, and an AI assistant you can ask about your account. Here's what each one does and how to use it.
This post is part of our Reddit ads roadmap. Dates are estimates and can shift.
What's new in Reddit Ads Manager right now?
Campaign planner (rolling out to all advertisers since October 2026): enter your campaign details, press Generate, and see estimated reach, impressions and cost before you launch. It also shows how active your audience is and short summaries of what your target communities talk about.
Optimization score (rolling out since October 2026): a 0–100% score for each campaign, with suggestions tailored to it. Reddit says advertisers who scored 80% or higher saw 19.6% lower blended cost per acquisition than those with lower scores.
Campaign budget optimization: Reddit moves budget between ad groups toward the ones doing best.

What it means for you: the planner beats guessing, but its numbers are estimates. The score measures how closely you follow Reddit's own suggestions, and PPC Land points out that the 19.6% is a correlation, not a tested result. Check each suggestion before you apply it.
What's coming next in Reddit Ads Manager?
Reddit Insights for more advertisers (limited access now, more expected late 2026 through 2027): see what people say about brands and topics, with short summaries and links to the threads.
Copy and drafts (expected around Q4 2026–Q1 2027): copy a winning ad into other ad groups, and save an unfinished campaign to finish later. Drafts from the campaign planner are already live.
An AI assistant (testing expected around Q1–Q2 2027): ask questions about your account, like why your cost per result jumped on Tuesday, and get answers in plain words.
An MCP connector (expected later in 2027): connect your own AI tools to your Reddit ads data.

What it means for you: an AI assistant can only explain what your tracking records. Set up the Conversions API first, so the answers are based on real sales.
How should you use these tools?
Use the planner before every new campaign, then compare its estimate with your real results after 2 weeks.
Check the optimization score weekly, and apply suggestions that fix tracking or creative first.
Skip suggestions that only raise your budget until your cost per result is where you want it.
Write down what you changed and why, so you can tell what worked. A clear naming convention helps.

A tool in Ads Manager that estimates reach, impressions and cost before you launch, then turns the plan into a draft campaign. It has been rolling out to all advertisers since October 2026.
What is a good Reddit optimization score?
Reddit uses 80% as its line. Advertisers above it saw 19.6% lower blended cost per acquisition in Reddit's data, but that's a correlation, not a guarantee.

Yes. Testing is expected around Q1–Q2 2027, with an MCP connector for outside AI tools later in 2027. Timing can shift.
