Reddit Campaign Planner: See What Your Budget Gets You Before You Spend

The Reddit campaign planner estimates reach, impressions and cost before you launch. You enter your goal, budget, dates, audience and ad format, click Generate, and get a forecast. Reddit rolled it out to all advertisers in October 2026. Here's what it shows and how to use it.
This post is part of our Reddit ads roadmap. Dates are estimates and can shift.
What does the Reddit campaign planner show?
Estimated reach, impressions and cost for the campaign you're planning.
How steadily your audience has been active on Reddit.
Short summaries of what people talk about in the communities you picked.

How do you use the campaign planner well?
Plan with your real budget and dates, not a wish budget.
Try two or three versions, like more communities vs fewer, or image vs video. Compare reach and cost.
Read the community summaries. If the topics don't match your product, change the communities before you spend.
Check real results after the first week and adjust. The forecast is a starting point.
What can't the planner tell you?
A forecast is an estimate based on past activity. It can't tell you whether your ad is good, and it doesn't promise sales. In our experience, the communities you pick and the ad itself move results more than most settings. The planner helps you skip the obvious mistakes, like a budget too small to reach anyone.
What's next for the planner?
Forecasts for sales and app installs are expected in 2027, along with more help building plans. Timing can shift. Reddit also launched a campaign optimization score and campaign budget optimization at the same time.
